Things To Do
Oprah Winfrey Mural
In 2003, Opera visited Garden compound in her mission to understand the impact of HIV/AIDS, and she visited many families to learn about how they survive on a daily basis. This was a great moment for the people of the Garden compound. They decided to preserve this moment as an important part of the history of the compound, and they have dedicated a series of public paintings to remember the visit but also to share the story of Oprah with the young girls in the compound.
