Zambezi River Cruises - Bushtracks Africa
African Queen/Princess. Her Royal Highness Anna Siloka I Be Dyango XVIII of the Leya, the patroness of the African Queen Cruise Company, welcomes you to the African Queen River Experience. She offers the spellbinding combination of the mighty Zambezi River and the gracious hospitality of the African Queen Cruise Company. A cruise on the African Queen or the African Princess is an unforgettable experience that will take you back in time to an era where time stood still. The African Queen Cruise Company operates two luxurious vessels. The African Queen was launched on the 7th of May 2001; she is a triple deck, 70 ft catamaran, furnished with Rhodesian teak, beech wood and brass finishes and accommodates a total of 120 passengers. The African Princess was launched on the 31st March 2005 and is similar in design and build to the African Queen, although slightly smaller, with a passenger carrying capacity of 80 passengers. From our luxurious cruises on the Zambezi River, you can experience all the wonders of nature that this mighty river has to offer On arrival at the Royal Landing, you are greeted with the sounds of a Marimba Band, a local instrument that laments the sounds of Africa. Full bars on both upper and lower decks serve a selection of cocktails and iced drinks, while our on-board galley will provide you with freshly prepared hot and cold snacks and meals. The Captain’s Cabin provides the ultimate in privacy and exclusivity for those after something a little extra. The African Queen meanders slowly upstream along the length of the Mosi - oa - Tunya National Park looking for game on the way. A number of animals and a host of bird species can be viewed from comfortable chairs on cool wooden decks. Excellent hot and cold snacks are served on board and the bar is well stocked with spirits, good wines, beers and soft drinks. Snacks and drinks are included in the price and served throughout the cruise by professional, friendly waiters making the whole experience probably the most luxurious cruise on the river. The African Queen Cruise Company embraces both the mystery and tradition of an African way of life untouched by time. The African Queen Cruise Company also offers the perfect alternative location for group dinners, either on board the African Queen/African Princess or in the elegant surroundings of the Royal Landing.
