The Zambezi River
The Zambezi River is Africa’s fourth largest River system, after the Nile, Congo and Niger Rivers. It flows through six countries from central Africa to the Indian Ocean. The Zambezi River has a unique feature in that compared to the other big rivers in Africa, it is less developed in terms of human settlement and many areas along its banks enjoy protected status meaning it has more game than other big rivers. Hippos, crocodiles, baboon, elephants, lions and hynas are some examples of the wildlife you are likely to find along the Zambezi.
